Ashot Sedrak Petrosyan, director of the National Center Technical Security of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia

Ashot Sedrak Petrosyan was born in 1-st of May of 1956 in Metsavan (Shanazar) village of Tashir (Kalinino) in Soviet Armenia. 1963-1973 studied at secondary school of Metsavan. In 1974 has been called up to military forces of the USSR. In 1975 went to Novosibirsk Higher military-politic college.

After graduating of this military college has been appointed as deputy troop leader (political issues) of 6th guard motorized infantry regiment of 13th guard tank division in Hungary. Soon Ashot Petrosyan was appointed as secretary of komsomol committee then as deputy commander of 902th separate assault military unit till 1984.

Form 1984 since 1986 served as deputy commander of assault military unit then as deputy commander of reconnaissance military unit in far east in region of Amur.

In 1986 went and in 1989 graduated from Moscow military-politic academy named after Lenin. After graduating has been appointed as deputy commander of the 1st regiment (politic issues) of 100th division. 1989-1990 served Tbilisi then served in Yerevan capital regiment of USSR's 7th Army as deputy commander of the regiment. 1991-1992 served as commander of special regiment of the Ministry of Internal affairs. In 1991 was appointed as commander of special regiment of the Ministry of Internal affairs and participated in self defending battles of borders of Shahumyan, Tavush, Goris, Ijevan, Kapan, Meghri. On 28th January of 1992 has been appointed as commander of assault regiment having participation to Lachin defending battles from June to November. In 1993 Ashot Petrosyan has been appointed as deputy minister of defence.

In autumn of 1995 has been appointed as 1st deputy of Headquarters of armed forces.

In 1996 has been appointed as commander of 3rd army corpus.

In 1997 has been appointed as chief of military collage then as chief of military institute when first alumni of the institute graduated.

In 1999 according to his report General-major Ashot Petrosyan resigned from military service and was transferred to reserve of armed forces the RA.

In 1999 was appointed as CEO of «Haypost» and was on duty till 2000.

In November 2000 was appointed as Head of the department of control and safe performance of works in industry in ("Haylertekhhskoghutyun").

Since 21st of March of 2006 till 15th May of 2008 was director of the National Center Technical Security of the Ministry of Тrade and Economic Development.

Since 15th May of 2008 up to day is director of the National Center Technical Security of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia.
