RA TAES Minister Received Ambassador of Iran

On February 3, the RA TAES Minister Armen Yeritsyan received the newly appointed Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia Seyed Kazem Sadjadi and IRI Embassy Counsellor Sopani Par.

Congratulating Mr. Sadjadi on his appointment as Ambassador, Minister Yeritsyan presented the activities and the functions of the Ministry, identifying those areas, in which the Ministry can contribute to the deepening of the Armenian-Iranian cooperation.

The Minister also presented his visit to Iraq, noting, that the issue related to Iraq-Iran-Armenia road was under discussion.

Expressing gratitude to the Minister for the warm reception, Ambassador Seyed Kazem Sadjadi noted, that his purpose is to deepen cooperation between Armenia and Iran in all fields.

As part of joint activities with MTAES, the sides discussed cooperation in the field of seismic protection, organization and implementation of search and rescue work, prevention of natural and man-made disasters.

In the field of territorial administration, with a view to boost the cooperation between different regions and cities, the Ambassador asked Minister Yeritsyan to send an invitation on behalf of the Ministry of TAES to community leaders of Isfahan, Hormozgan, Gilan and Tehran Governor.

The purpose of the visit is to strengthen cooperation between the regions of Iran and Armenia in the field of agriculture, especially in fisheries sector.

Stressing the importance of strengthening relations between the two countries at the regional level, Minister Yeritsyan instructed to prepare the corresponding invitation and assured the Ambassador, that in the scope of their functions, the Ministry of TAES will do everything possible in deepening the Armenian-Iranian cooperation and raising it to a qualitatively new level.

In conclusion, Minister Yeritsyan presented to the guests the possibilities of the RA MTAES Crisis Management National Centre and the RA Government’s backup server.
