04.02.2016

A regular Cabinet meeting was held on February 3, chaired by Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan.

The meeting started with reference to the Government’s consultative meeting of February 2, which discussed the findings of the Audit Chamber, having conducted a study in the local social services agencies of Aragatsotn and Kotayk regions. The Prime Minister noted, that he couldn’t accept those baseless excuses voiced at the meeting.

The Head of the Government instructed Minister of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations of the RA Armen Yeritsyan to discuss the matter with the governors concerned and dismiss those officials in neglect of responsibilities. Hovik Abrahamyan welcomed the Audit Chamber’s decision in carrying out similar inspections nationwide and stressed, that the equity and justice should be ensured in this area as well.

During the meeting, the Head of the Government has approved the proposal for signing the grant agreement, to be concluded in the form of an exchange of notes between the Governments of Japan and Armenia. According to the rationale, the grant will support the mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, as well as the solution of urgent problems of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations.
