Ambassador of Georgia Expressed Gratitude for Cooperation in Emergency Situations

On February 5, the RA TAES Minister Armen Yeritsyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Armenia Tengiz Sharmanashvili and Georgian police attaché Kamo Galustyan on the completion of the diplomatic mission in Armenia.

Expressing gratitude to the Ambassador for effective efforts evinced during the 5 years tenure with the Ministry, Yeritsyan stressed, that the warm relations between the two friendly countries will not end with the completion of Ambassador's mission, adding, that Georgia-Armenia cooperation will be continued at the same high level.

In turn, Ambassador Sharmanashvili thanked TAES Minister noting, “During my 5 years mission, when there was an emergency situation in Georgia and your help was needed, Armenia had always been on our side, for which I am very grateful to you”.

Note, that the cooperation between the RA MTAES and the relevant agencies of Georgia in the field of emergency situations is based on the provisions of the agreement signed on May 3, 1997 in Yerevan between the Governments of Armenia and Georgia, on “Cooperation for preventing and eliminating of consequences in the field of natural and manmade emergency situations”.
